RMLRA Newsletter June 27, 2009 CNS Results

   Kyle Clegg finally captured the checkered flag at CNS Saturday night winning the twenty five lap feature race. In a feature that had three restarts in the last few laps, it came down to a green, white and checker finish. Kyle led the single file restart and finished ahead of Jon Krizman, Terry Plummer, Darrell Stewart and Wayne Barlock.  Clegg who has many feature wins as a Legend driver, took home the trophy that has been avoiding him the past several years. The race was very competitive as the top five cars all were in contention during the race.

  Heat races tonight were won by Timothy Faatz  # 16 and Jon Krizman # 8. Twenty one cars were on hand tonight. The racing was good and with just a few spins by a couple of cars, there were no major accidents that claimed cars being taken off by the hook. The # 13 car of Pete Dellarco was at the track tonight but did not compete because of a safety issue with his seat.

  Earlier this week in an earlier Newsletter, I mentioned Zach Powell winning his first feature race. He won one last season at Hwy 92 to get his first checkered flag at the end of the season.

  This coming weekend racing will be held Friday night at CNS and on Saturday, the RMLRA travels to Big Country Speedway for the fourth of July races.
