6-13-08 RESULTS

Fifteen cars were on hand for the evenings races. A caution flag in the slow heat and one in the fast heat were the only yellow fag conditions thrown all night. Bill Yeros # 17 car was damaged in the fast heat and had to retire for the night.

Chris Eggleston of Erie, Colorado set quick time, won a heat race and started eighth in the feature and when taking over the lead never looked back as he won the twenty five lap feature race. Rookie Corey Seip had a strong race and finished second driving the # 07 car. Brittany Johnson in the # 80 had her best finish of the 2008 season with a strong performance finishing third. She also had a heat race win earlier in the evening. Zach Powell of Colorado Springs finished fourth and Phil Peconi rounded out the top five positions.

Conner Kassik of Lake Havasu City, AZ . Raced with us Friday night. Towing out to visit family in eastern Nebraska. He will join us this coming weekend at I-25 as they make their way home. Ed Bostron in the # 90 car joined us after several weeks of repairs trying to get the car back on the track. The # 06 racing team of Bill McHone made their second straight trip to Gering and with driver Tony Leichtweis of Cheyenne in the drivers seat drove a good race gaining more experience and should start moving the car towards the front in the next few races. To all our drivers who made the trip to Gering, thank you for trying to be a proud part of the RMLRA.
