Gary Kopp describes himself as an ol' fart in his second childhood. He started racing
Formula Vee's about 11 years ago. Most of that racing was on road
courses. He still owns his Formula Vee.
When Derek started racing Legends he had no time to race his Vee so he
decided to get a Legend and race with him. Highlights of last season were starting on
the front row at Pueblo and CNS with Derek. Gary finished 5th in RMLRA points in 2009 and was voted Rookie of the Year. Gary has a background as a military and airline pilot. He says, "I'd give
anything to be flying C-130's again helping the relief effort in Haiti." |
