2014 RMLRA Points The 2014 season points system for the Legends drivers. This season the points championship will be simplified. To qualify for the Championship, a driver must attend (sign in) at least one race at 3 of the 4 tracks where races are scheduled. A rain-out is considered attending an event if the driver has signed in and the track calls the event due to weather. At the end of the season the driver with the most points will be crowned the club champion. “NO THROW OUT DATES” Points for races will be awarded as follows: Colorado National Speedway 30 sign-in points (same for rain-out if driver signs in and track calls the event due to weather) 32 points for last place finish, 2 points for each finish place forward. Winner receives 2 additional points. For example, if 28 cars start the main event, last place finish will receive 32 points, 27th place will receive 34 points, 26th place receives 36 points, etc. The winner would receive 86 points plus 2 bonus points for a total of 88 points. I-25 Speedway, Hwy 92 Raceway & Big Country Speedway 75 sign-in points (same for rain-out if driver signs in and track calls the event due to weather) 77 points for last place finish, 2 points for each finish place forward. Winner receives 2 additional points. For example, if 17 cars start the main event, last place finish will receive 77 points, 16th place will receive 79 points, 15th place receives 81 points, etc. The winner would receive 109 points plus 2 bonus points for a total of 111 points. National qualifier races will have 150 points awarded for these events. If a driver does not qualify into or start a main event, they will only receive sign-in points for that event. Last chance races will transfer top 4 cars to the main event. |
