2020 Fuel Rule

RMLRA/RMBRA Fuel Policy | EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2020

The RMLRA board worked with each track, the USCLI Motor Shop and national and local tech officials to determine a fuel rule solution. The rule was mandated in an effort to save engines and bring down cost for the RMLRA racer.

To address the concerns, we have listed below the legal fuels available at all US Legend Car races with the RMLRA during the 2020 season and beyond. Please review and ask any question of the board.

The following locations to purchase fuel will be enforced at each RMLRA race in 2020. Failure to comply will result in a disqualification:

Colorado National Speedway - 91 Octane Clean Fuel (no additives), equivalent to Premium Fuel at the gas pump, will be available for purchase at Colorado National Speedway and is mandatory for all RMLRA Legend Car races at this facility.  It is the best fuel for our motors because it is the correct octane and also has not additives like ethanol.  This will be the only legal fuel for Legend Cars at CNS.

Intermountain Speedway - Racers will be required to purchase premium fuel from the Maverick Station at College Drive and South Greeley Highway (1706 S Greeley Hwy, Cheyenne, WY 82007).  CNS Clean Premium can also be used at this track if racers prefer no ethanol in their fuel.

Hi-Way 92 Raceway  - Racers will be required to purchase premium fuel from the Stage Coach Stop approximately 4 miles west of the track (320 M Street, Gering, NE  69341).  CNS Clean Premium can also be used at this track if racers prefer no ethanol in their fuel.

I-25 Speedway - Racers will be required to purchase premium fuel from the Love’s Station at I-25 and Mesa Ridge Parkway  (5505 Travel Plaza Dr, Fountain, CO 80817).  CNS Clean Premium can also be used at this track if racers prefer no ethanol in their fuel.
