Opening night is just a few days away for
those of you who plan to attend the races at Colorado National Speedway.
Although today’s weather does not look all that great it is suppose to
warm up a lot tomorrow and many nice days to follow.
After looking at the Big West web page the
schedule for practice is as follows. Legends will have the track for
thirty minutes from
1:00 PM
till
1:30 PM. There will be a happy hour as they call it
from
3:00 PM
till
4:20 or as time permits. Try to set your car up with a series
of quick pit stops while in the thirty minute time slot for practice.
This is new to us, so it should prove to be quite interesting this first
time.
I will have the Raceceiver on during practice
and we will use channel 165. If you can not hear me please check with me
and we will try to fix the problem.
Race safe and have fun, and if you’re not up
to speed, give a faster car the opening to get by until you are able run
faster. It is a long season for many of you, and one night of racing is
not a season. I am sure that there will be a Legends drivers meeting
after the general pit meeting by the track. Make sure you attend.
I would not be surprised to see about twenty
five cars at the track on Saturday. I know there are quite a few cars
that have not been on the track yet this year. If you are one of those
cars, you need to arrive early to go through tech. No cars will be
permitted on the track without an inspection. The gates open at
9:00 AM
and practice starts at
1:00 PM.
