It was a great night for racing at Colorado National Speedway. The car count was very low and the racing program had two features with a twenty lap feature and the main feature was a twenty five lap race. It was Kyle Clegg’s night to shine with two wins in these races. Kyle chased down Mike Gallegos in the second feature and when both cars encountered some traffic, Kyle got by Gallegos and went on to win the race. Scotty Scott and young rookie D. J. Stewart battled many laps for third place before Scott finally got by. With Scott third and Stewart fourth, Chappy Adkins finished fifth.

We did have fourteen cars in the pits this evening and we lost the number ninety-nine of Brady Van Matre when he made contact with the wall in practice. It could not be repaired. Ryan Jones had engine problems and started the second feature in the back up car of Kyle Clegg. Zach Witherwax and Derek Pechman did not start the main feature. Several cars sat out tonight to prepare for their trip to the Nationals October 16-18. Best of luck to all that attend these championship races.
