What started out as a nice looking race day turned in to cloudy weather late in the afternoon and just as intermission was upon the racing program the rain started to fall and then it was heavy rain and the races were called at that time. It is always discouraging to spend the day at the track and then have the weather change the outcome of the day that you were looking to have. Chris Brunker won the Legend dash and Kyle Clegg won the Legends Fast Dash.

The RMLRA will be in Cheyenne, Wyoming next weekend at Big Country Speedway. It is shown as a double feature on that date. Do try to be there to enjoy the racing program. Ten racing dates remain on the 2017 racing schedule. Three of these dates are double features, and two are National Qualifier races for the Asphalt Nationals in Las Vegas in October. The 2017 Asphalt Nationals Registration Form can be found on the USLCI home page. Be sure to get your application in the mail.

Twenty-five Legend car were on hand last night and twenty-three qualified for the races. Paul Himler had engine failure and Greg Lee did not qualify.
