Danny Medina won his second straight feature at CNS last night. Kyle Clegg, Chris Eggleston, Scotty Scott and Chris Cooper tried to keep Danny close last night as the 25 lap feature had many restarts during the running of the race.  A large field of Legends cars was on hand last night at Colorado National Speedway, and many of them did not see the checker flag at the end of the twenty-five lap feature race.

Including two blown engines by Mike Gallegos in the Trophy Dash and Ryan Jones who sat on the outside pole in the feature. Ryan failed to complete one lap when his engine let go. Many cars were damaged and had to leave the track while only completing one lap. It was not a very good start for the feature as a lot of banging was going on. The cars up front were trying to win the race in turn one at the start of the race.

Memorial Day Weekend 3 Day National qualifiers, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado

With three races scheduled for this coming Memorial Day Weekend, this reporter hopes that many of these cars can be repaired in the next few days. A couple of extra cars would be good to have at Gering and Cheyenne. We are expecting around 18-20 cars Friday and Saturday night. These include several cars that were damaged Saturday night at Colorado National Speedway.

Thirty-three cars timed in with #58 Kyle Ray recording the quick time with a time of 18.679. Seven drivers qualified under nineteen-seconds. Danny Medina won the 12 lap trophy dash, and Mike Webber won the Legends 12 Lap Dash (Heat Race).

We are still looking for a couple of trailers that can haul an extra car to Gering and Cheyenne. Please contact John Ulander if you can help out. John can be reached by email at vulander@comcast.net
