RMLRA results from CNS July 16, 2011
The feature race ended on
a caution flag last night after the leaders had taken the checkered flag. From
what I saw it was a hectic last lap. I waited to see if there would be any
changes since several of you questioned the finish. As we all know the track
takes care of the scoring and with the transponders and computer there should
be no mistakes. The finish that was posted is official.
Kyle Clegg won his first
feature race of the 2011 season last night as he led almost all the way. Kyle Ray raced hard and strong but
could not get by Clegg and finished a couple of car lengths behind at the
checkered flag. Pete Dellarco, Scotty Scott and Chris Simons-Cooper were your
top five finishers. We had a few spin outs during the race last night and the
track kept the green flag out and caution flag only came out once during the
race and of course on the last lap as several cars got together in turns three
and four. I think that the weather was closing in and they were trying to get
the races in.
The trophy dash was won by Mike Gallegos and Kyle Ray won the
heat race. Twenty-three cars were on hand last night. A good turnout with the
weather forecast calling for rain showers.
