Good job of racing Saturday night with twenty-nine cars on hand. BreAnn Adkison had some mechanical issues with her car and went back to Cheyenne later in the evening and the car war repaired for Sunday racing. Sunday evening will be the National Qualifier race. Congrats to Chris Eggleston on the win. There was a DQ in
Tech after the feature. Thanks to the tech crew for its work during these races. The feature had a great finish again as several cars were very close as the checkered flag flew. Clegg, Medina Jones and Pechman were your top five finishers. Our leaders did a great job of getting through lapped traffic as is the case with so many Legend cars starting the feature. Our back markers did a pretty good job of staying low as the faster cars approached them to pass. I don’t agree with the tracks move to eliminate the move over flag as we have a lot of new drivers in our class every year and I think that the flag should still be shown to these inexperienced drivers.

Sunday and there were twenty-seven race cars on hand for the National Qualifier. Several more cars qualified for the Asphalt National in Las Vegas at the end of the season. An accident in the feature race eliminated several cars including Chris Eggleston who had won four of the first five feature races at CNS this season. With cars spinning in their way both he and Scotty Scott were caught up in the accident and had to see their evening come to an end. Kyle Clegg was very fast all evening and won the feature race after the restart on lap fifteen. In the top five were, Medina, Jones, Pechman and Scheidemantle. Many of you may not know it but Brent Scheidemantle attended college in Arkansas and currently works in Little Rock, Arkansas. He supports the Legend program during the holidays when he can get back to Colorado to race.  Clegg and Jereme Wall won the Legend Dash races earlier in the racing program. RMLRA racing will be in Pueblo next weekend and is listed on the schedule as a double feature. The following weekend the racing returns to Hwy 92 in Gering for a Friday-Saturday night of races. After Gering, the races return to CNS for three straight
Saturday night races. If you want to race, there is plenty of opportunity to have some fun. Thanks to all the drivers and car owners for spending the weekend racing with the RMLRA.
