The seasons first race is just ten days away. Just a few notes here to stay in touch. With the three day “Shootout” a month away, those of you who will be traveling to Gering, Nebraska, you might want to start looking at a Motel for Friday night May 23, 2014. The Super 8 Motel, 308-635-1600, in Scottsbluff is managed by Sandy Thompson, who also is the Highway 92 Track Manager. She is holding ten rooms for us as of April 9. When you call please ask for rooms that are being held for the Rocky Mountain Legends. These rooms will be available untill seven days before the races. No need to tell you that it is Memorial Day weekend. Book early, they are very easy to work with in case you have to cancel. We have always received a good price for the rooms.

Jim Stevens has done a great job of setting up this “Shootout” with a good payout for all drivers. If you have never raced in the three day weekend of racing, you will have a lot of fun doing it. For many of you, be conservative when racing so you can enjoy the weekend of racing and not trying to rebuild the car after the races each night.
