Denver, Colorado (July 17, 2013) – The date is set for the Annual Colorado Racers Reunion. The highly anticipated event will be a two day affair for 2013 with addition of the Colorado Motorsports Hall of Fame and the Colorado Vintage Oval Racers to the festivities.

The “Reunion” will kick off on Saturday August 10, 2013 at Colorado National Speedway with the Colorado Vintage Oval Racers in a static display of legendary vintage races cars of the past as you enter the Speedway. Joining the CVOR will be the Colorado Motorsports Hall of Fame with the Legend of Colorado Motorsports. These members of the Colorado Motorsports Hall of Fame will be on hand to speak with and sign autographs for the fans in attendance.

Once inside the fans will be treated to a full race program, with future Hall of Famers, including the Super Late Models, Super Stocks, ERA Super Modifieds and of course the popular Figure Eights.

Once all of the qualifying races are complete it will be time for the CVOR to hit the track for some laps around the Colorado National Speedway 3/8 mile oval. This will surely bring back some memories from the past for some and many questions from the youngsters. Once the laps are complete, The Colorado Motorsports Hall of Fame will introduce the members of the Class of 2013 in attendance to the fans.

Day two of the “Reunion” will be Sunday August 11, 2013 in the pit area of Colorado National Speedway. This will be a free event open to all Past, Present and Future drivers, pit crew, fans and anyone who just wants to see what’s going on. An open invitation will have been sent to as many racing organizations, car clubs, and motorcycle groups as possible with the idea to make this “A Gathering of the Clan.” Bring your car, photo albums, and your stories, meet the drivers, admire the cars and make this a day to remember. Speedway officials have made the track available for some low speed “Cruising” and will staff a concession stand for the convenience of the attendees.

We are expecting, but can not guarantee, cars from the CVOR, CARC, ERA and the current active divisions racing across the state. You never know what stories you might hear when you get a group of “Gearheads” together. The day will be what you and I make of it.
