Colorado National Speedway released their 2011 schedule last Friday and the RMLRA have been scheduled to race sixteen races at the fast 3/8 mile track.  As of this release today I-25 has been scheduled for three races with one race possibly a National qualifier. Together with CNS July 2-3 could be the Rocky Mountain Classic. I get the feeling that I-25 would accept more races if we could guarantee a few more cars on race day at the track. There is speculation that New Mexico will hold a national qualifier this season.

RMLRA Officers will be meeting Tuesday night to complete plans for the General meeting in March and the upcoming racing season. A lot of work for the officers to accomplish, and be ready for the racing season as it gets underway in
April. 2011 RMLRA memberships Memberships for 2011 season are due. Forms are available on RMLRA.org. Lower Left corner, Become a Member.

RMLRA Notes
The elected officers are in the process of contacting all the drivers on our list. If you have not been contacted
by anyone please let us know through the RMLRA web page.

If you are new with us this season, or just a member from previous seasons and have RACEceiver reception
problems, I suggest going to the RACEceiver web page and read scanner tips. Please read the section about
your battery. All drivers must have a RACEceiver to race with us. If you are looking for a RACEceiver please
shop around before buying. I have noticed that RACEceiver has had special sale prices on their products.
The prices do vary. Everyone should have placed their application for your INEX license by now.

Driver Profile

Wayne Barlock Jr. will be back to race his #3 Legend this season. Wayne finished second last season in the points race after winning the championship in 2009. He is a
student at Colorado University in Boulder studying engineering.  Racing a Legend since 2007, he can drive his car up front and be a contender this season. Wayne
Barlock Sr. and Bob Peck did a great job of keeping this car up front the past two seasons. He could return to the top of the
points chase this season.
