![]() Rain washes out CNS Races May 12, 2018 Bandolero drivers and parents a very impressive turnout with approximately twenty cars showing up to race. I know a lot of time in preparing the cars to race only to be rained out. The next scheduled race will be Saturday May 19, 2018 at I-25 Speedway just north of Pueblo. Looking for some good weather to go racing. I hope to see you there. Thank for turning in your INEX membership applications at the track. They will be in the mail tomorrow to INEX. Legend cars with a turnout of thirty-three cars qualified to race until the rains came and washed out the program. Legend cars will join the Bandolero cars at I-25 Speedway next weekend. This will be a double main event for Legends. Points will be awarded for both features. Chris Eggleston was the top qualifier Saturday evening with a time of 18.779 I heard a few comments in the pits that the new fuel that we are using this season is allowing the engines to run a little cooler. Let us see how they are when it really warms up in another month. With the new fuel rule in place it should keep rebuilds down this season. All race cars in the pits last night when the program was rained out will receive show up points (40) toward the RMLRA championship. Remember for Bandolero drivers it is your best fifteen races and for Legends it is the best twenty-two. You can miss a few races and still win the championship. Drivers are also reminded to make sure the RMLRA sponsors decals are on your car. Race cars that are planning to race the three day Rumble in The Rockies remember to plan ahead for motel rooms.
