RMLRA @ Big Country Speedway May 10, 2014

At Big Country Speedway this Saturday evening the gates will open at 12:00 Noon and the racing starts at 6:00 PM. As of Wednesday morning the weather might come into play as the forecast is changing to colder conditions for Saturday. The gates for admission open at 3:00 PM. This information taken from the www.bigcountryspeedwaywy.com web page. Be sure to add this web page to your favorites. This track offers an opportunity for drivers to gain experience racing in close quarters as the old saying goes. I am just guessing but a thirty or thirty-five lap main event might be on the Legends Racing program on Saturday night. Try to make the trip up there to race. They usually have about three hot lap and qualifying times. Unless they have changed their schedule your fastest time in practice is your qualifying time for the evening.

Although Scotty has been very busy at work and has not joined us yet he is maintaining the web page and the points are up to date. It is early in the season but everyone likes to look at the standings anyway.

In a hurry to get the Newsletter out on Sunday, I sorta missed recognizing the win by Chris Eggleston winning the season opener. Chris and Kyle Clegg exchanged the lead several times throughout the race. When the checkered flag flew it was Eggleston with the win. Wayne Barlock Jr. also held the lead briefly. Chris as many of you know has a great background of racing behind him. He has become an excellent driver and their will
be many more wins for him in the future no matter what he is driving. He will probably tell you that they spend many hours a week preparing his race car.

The RMLRA Legends Cars have several drivers that can win these features and it is the driver who gets out front early and takes it to the checkered flag. Congratulations to Chris on winning the 2014 season opener.
