RMLRA News and Information

Just returned from my vacation in the Houston, Texas area and while their I saw a lot of rain.

It has been a month since the last race of the season and many of you are about to recondition the race car for next season. Take your time and make sure that everything has been looked at on the frame. It is not hard to loose the specs on the frame when contact has been made during the races. Make plans early if you are returning your engine to be rebuilt at US Legend Cars. Do read the latest updates on the US Legends web page for various items with your car. We have several people in the organization that can rebuild your frame if necessary. Contact me and I will pass some information along to you.

Latest news to pass along.

The #47x trailer of Jason Hulvey was parked in a trailer lot with equipment in the trailer. Someone broke into the trailer lot and also broke into Jason Hulvey’s trailer. The Legend car was not in the trailer but parts were stolen from the trailer along with his generator. He is missing new coils, red ignition box all of which are new and in boxes. Also the generator is a UST 4200 wireless Generator with 20-30 hours on the hour meter. Also missing were a set of Pro Form Scales. If you should come across these items and they are for sale please contact Jason Hulvey at 970-217-5652.

The Awards Banquet date has not been finalized as of this date. I will release the information when I am informed.

Good Luck to Chris Eggleston

Chris Eggleston will be racing the last race of the 2015 season this weekend at Phoenix. Going into the race this weekend he has a small lead in the points championship. Best of luck to you Chris from your Legend Car racing friends and drivers.

Joshua Jackson Legend Driver from New Mexico

Also received the bad news of Joshua Jackson Legend racer out of New Mexico that has raced several times with us, that he was seriously hurt racing a sprint car. Information received is that he has lost and eye and is in Craig Hospital here in Denver.  If you would like to go visit him as a group, please contact John Ulander at

The month of December is usually the month that you can save money on your 2016 INEX license. I will try to post an article in the newsletter if when I see it posted on the web page. Buying in December will save you about thirty dollars. Many of you have made these early purchases to save money.

If you plan to sell and not return for 2016 please let me know as car numbers often change in the off season. The car numbers for the 2016 season may be seen on the RMLRA web page. You must be a member to have your car number and picture posted on the web site in the classified section at RMLRA.org.

There are a few cars that are up for sale and not listed on the web page. Contact me if you know of someone looking to purchase a car. Cars that are sitting in the garage for sale can be seen if you take them to the track during the racing season. Be sure to notify Scotty to remove sold items from the web page. He can be reached at scottl@lariatsp.com.

Three drivers that I know of headed to the Asphalt Nationals in South Carolina. Wildlife Racing #03 & #30, Pechman Racing #25 are the three that I know of so far. Best of luck to all of you out there.
