Racing action for the RMLRA this weekend as we return to Colorado National Speedway this Saturday evening May 2.


The schedule gets tougher as we take the following weekend off and then our schedule has us racing right through the summer and ending October 3 at with the Challenge Cup race at Colorado National Speedway.

May 16, back at CNS before our Memorial Day weekend which includes a three day weekend of racing starting May 22, 23, 24. This is our only three day weekend of the season and since this is Memorial Day Weekend you need to start making plans now. I have already booked my room and looking forward to seeing you there. Gering and Big Country Speedways are small tracks and they become a drivers track as the less powered engines have a chance on these short flat tracks. As of this morning May 27, there are ten rooms set aside at the Super 8 Motel in Scottsbluff for you to call and hold a room. 308-635-1600. Ask for Legends discount.The
racers price for Friday night is $55.00 That is a discount of $16.00 off their regular price. Other Motels in the area are the Monument Inn and Suites in Gering, 308-436-1950 and the Circle S Motel in Gering. 308-436-2157. Since this will be a holiday weekend I would suggest that you make your plans early. For Saturday evening you have a few choices of driving back to the Denver area or book a motel in Cheyenne. I do not have anything to pass along to you for Cheyenne.

For the weekend, NAPA has also provided the club with an awesome tool cart to be given away as a raffle after the last race of the weekend. You can see it on our web site in the news with the NAPA sigh showing the way. To be eligible for the drawing, you need to race at all three races during the weekend and also be a member of the RMLRA. This past weekend at Big Country Speedway there were two Legend cars on hand to practice.  I did not hear from anybody at I-25 Speedway.
