![]() The season opener is just ahead and it is time to put your car on the track this Saturday evening at Colorado National Speedway. The weather forecast for Saturday evening shows middle sixties for a high during the day. For all the new drivers to Legends this season let me just remind all of you to take it easy when the green flag is thrown to start the races. Upon arriving in the pits you need to go to the pit tower and in the lower level you are required to sign in. Please find the Legends clip board and sign you and your car number in. This information is for the track and for you to qualify. Be prepared to practice as the practice sessions go quickly. There are usually three sessions depending on how many classes are racing. Remember to attend the drivers meeting by track officials. I heard a rumor that once the driver goes over the scales and heads to the pit entrance, the driver may not leave his car. This will be a track DQ. I am sure that this will be explained at the pit meeting. The RMLRA will meet right after the main pit meeting. Be sure to attend. Remember that all races start one hour earlier during the month of April. For all first year rookies to Legend car racing, finishing the twenty-five lap feature is your main objective. Be a good sport and move to the bottom of the track when the passing flag is shown to you. The Raceceiver in your ears may be your best friend. Make sure it is working properly. The first night of the season has been known to have a lot of caution flags. Keep your eyes on the track ahead of you for other cars that may be having problems. All restarts are double file and lapped cars are placed behind the cars on the current lap. Your transponder needs to be fully charged upon arriving at the track. For all drivers you are reminded that you are in charge of your pit crew in case there is a problem in the pits. A reminder that only two people per car in the tech area after the race. If you have problems with the finish of the race, do contact the track officials in the pits. APRIL: CNS
