![]() The Rocky Mountain Legends Racing Association is prepairing to start the 2013 season with their opening date at Colorado National Speedway April 20. Legends have been racing along the Front Range since 1995. There should be between 30-40 cars racing this season from the Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska region. Donʼt look for that number of cars to show up for a Saturday night race. Several drivers do not travel to some of the tracks away from the CNS area. Twenty-three racing dates have been set up for drivers to travel and compete for the 2013 RMLRA championship. Approximately six to eight-first year drivers will be on the tracks this season. Kyle Ray will be back to defend his championship this season. The highlight of the season may be the three day racing weekend of May 24, 25, 26. These three dates are National Qualifiers for the National Asphalt Championship that will be held in Erie, PA. in September. The RMLRA will race at Highway 92 in Gering, Nebraska and Cheyenne, Wyoming three times, and travel to I-25 Speedway in Pueblo for four racing dates. Look for drivers racing out of Albuquerque, New Mexico to attend the races at I-25. Nine differant drivers from New Mexico helped support the races at I-25 in 2012. 2013 INEX License & RMLRA Membership It looks as though many drivers have applied for memberships and should be arriving in the mail sometime this month.Car Mirrors It has been brought to our attention that mirrors installed in you car may be damaged when the tow trucks pick up your car with the Legend hook. You may want to make some adjustments on the mirror mountings in your car. The speedway is not responsible for any damage while removing your car from the track. As a driver, make sure everything is secure before lifting up your car and moving it if possible. |
