RMLRA returns to CNS Saturday June 18, 2016

Local Legend car racing returns to Colorado National Speedway this Saturday evening. Three weeks ago Kyle Clegg held on to win the feature race when several cars were involved in an accident taking out three of the top cars. Kyle will try to make it two in a row. All the cars should be back on the track Saturday evening plus all the regulars that make up the majority of the cars that travel to all the tracks.

Future racing dates in the next few weeks include a double feature at I-25 Speedway on June 25. The July 4th weekend will have the RMLRA racing two dates at Colorado National Speedway, July 2-3.

With seven feature races completed Adam Pechman has a small lead over Scotty Scott and Jason Hulvey. These three drivers have raced seven features this season.!  Again a thank you for those of you who traveled this past weekend to Gering and Cheyenne to support our racing program.

Former RMLRA champion Chris Eggleston put on a great show as he took over the lead of the K&N West Series 150 lap feature during the closing laps and took home the winning trophy last Saturday evening at CNS. Congratulations to the victor. He trails the points leader by four points. His next race will be in two weeks at Sonoma, CA. Look for the #22 Legend this weekend at CNS.!  Pit gate opens at 1:00 PM, Practice starts at 3:00 PM and racing starts at 6:30 PM Weather looks good and we hope to see you there.

The Summer BoJangles Shootout from Charlotte starts 6-14-16 and it can be seen live and free. I found the information on the US Legends Facebook. I  was busy and only had the chance to watch the Pro feature. A very good race. The races start about 5:00 PM local time.
