![]() Racing this weekend July 11 @ I-25 Speedway Pueblo Just a short message this week as the Legends head to Pueblo for Saturday racing. After a two day July 4th racing weekend, racers face the trip to Pueblo for this Saturday night of racing. I posted a news release on the RMLRA web page after the last race at CNS. I mentioned that I had received a telephone call from I-25 and they let me know that a mistake had been made on the payoff at I-25. The payoff was supposed to be one and a half times the normal payoff but the bookkeeper forgot the half. You should have received it by now or very soon. Please keep checking the web page for updates and releases as it it much easier for me to send them to Scott to post, especially when I am out of town. We will be heading to Nebraska next weekend for the first time this season. We were rained out Memorial Day weekend on our first scheduled race at Hwy 92 Raceway Park. While we are talking about Nebraska be sure to get your motel rooms reserved for that Friday night in Gering. If you have never raced at this track drivers you will find it to be a very good track for Legends. We can use the car count if possible. We then head back to Big Country Speedway for Saturday. Last Saturday evening, the car count was down a little and it was a tough night for drivers as the track proved again that it is not an easy track to drive and race on June 27th. Guys please have grace with one another, racing is an emotional sport, but try not to let it get past the point of no return. We are all out here to have fun. And each racer deserves to be out there. Bye the time we are done racing next weekend we will have reached the halfway point on our schedule. Racing five times in three weekends is tough on everybody and it puts a strain on car owners and drivers. Support the program if you can. We can field a great group of race cars on any given night. |
