The season draws nearer as the second weekend of inspections and hot laps came to an end. Several cars have not made their way tp the track yet, and I hope they are getting close to being ready to go on opening day. It was good to see everyone yesterday as the weather held off from the early prediction of rain and race cars filled the pits. Weather permitting the season opener will be April 9th at Colorado National Speedway. I-25 will open their track for practice April 16th. I will pass along any information that I receive on I-25. Eighteen Legends were on hand Saturday at Colorado National Speedway. Cars making their first appearance for inspections and some hot laps were #17 Scott Rickman, #18 Brian McCartney, #78 Brittany Duncan, #81 Rayshawn Carter, #84 Mike Webber, #85 Cole MacEwen, #96 Rick Rusk. Cars from last week joining the group above were, #3 Wayne Barlock, #7 Corey Seip, #25 Adam Pechman, #34 Chris Cooper, #37 Dave Richard, #44 Kevin Kurtz, #58 Kyle Ray, #66 Kyle Clegg, #71 Craig Coughlin, #77 Brandon Moore and #07 Bill Seip. Engine problems developed with the #3 car of Wayne Barlock and may have to have a lot of good luck as they tear the engine down to inspect it. The #37 car of Corey Seip thought they had their oil leak fixed from last week, will have to do some more repairs as the engine oil was still leaking at yesterday practice session. |
