RMLRA Newsletter - May 26, 2012

Memorial Day weekend is here and the Legends will only race one time this weekend.  It used to always be at least two racing dates on the holiday weekends. Remember the Rocky Mountain Classic with three days of racing over Labor Day weekend. That was alto of fun for many as long as the car did not need to be repaired right after the races. Colorado National will be the place to be Sunday night. Gates open at noon. Ist Legend Practice 2:00 -2:15 PM 2nd Legend Practice 3:15-3:30 PM Racing starts at 6:00 PM 2 Dash Races 25 Lap Feature Legends will follow the F-8 Feature Kyle Clegg will be going after his third straight RMLRA feature win. In the CNS points race Clegg leads Mike Gallegos by two points with Kyle Ray third eight points behind the leader. In the chase for the RMLRA championship Kyle Clegg sits a top the group leading Kyle Ray by twenty-two points. Dave Hondel and Scotty Scott are tied for third place with 202 points. Corey Seip is fifth with a total of 200 points. Alan & Dee Duncan are in the process of selling their #78 Legend. They have been racing Legends since 2003. Their son Jason shared a ride with Darrell Stewart in the #98. I had to dig back into the archives to confirm this. Brittany started racing in 2005 racing one race. I hope my record are correct.
