The RMLRA returns to Colorado National Speedway this weekend with the first practice scheduled for 1:30 PM. This thirty minute session will be followed later in the afternoon with the fifteen minute Happy Hour as the track calls it. Looking forward to possibly seeing a few more cars at the track this weekend. While we had seventeen cars at Big Country, the weather may have held a few cars from traveling to race. It really has not felt like good warm racing weather yet. The weather changes quite often here in Colorado and here is hoping for a good weekend to go racing. Pete Dellarco’s # 13 has had a tough time of it this season with two straight nights with engine failure. The last thing I heard Buck say as they were leaving Big Country Speedway Saturday night, “Hope to find an engine for next week, or get one repaired.” The #07 of Bill Seip was the only other car from last weeks races in Cheyenne that looked like it needed some repair work and I am sure the crew on that car will have it up ready to race Saturday night. I have been told that several members of the RMLRA, made the trip to Colorado Springs for the Garrett O’Neil services. I was told the church was packed with many people attending. It is still hard to believe what happened. Just spoke to Leary Racing and the RMLRA can now use the new Federal Race Tires beginning this weekend. Good luck to all. See you in the Pits. |
