![]() ROCKY MOUNTAIN LEGENDS RACING ASSOCIATION, FEBRUARY 3, 2012 The break between the 2011-12 season is just about over and in just two weeks from today drivers will have the opportunity to put their car on the track at Colorado National Speedway. All cars will be inspected for safety before they will be permitted on the track. As usual our Legends are well represented at hot laps and there should be some new cars out on the track for the first time. New drivers will be talked to before going on the track and driving safely will be the main order of hot lapping this early season. All rookie drivers will be expected to have the rear bumber painted yellow or taped with yellow tape. Make sure you have your Receiver turned (channel # 165 ) on while you are on the track. I will be talking to you and giving you a warning when traffic gets heavy or the caution flag comes out. A reminder to all drivers to stay low on the track until getting up to speed. There are several bumps in the ashalt in turns two and three. Get a feel for the track while getting up to speed. There will be three practice sessions at CNS, March 17, 24, 31. Their web page is showing 11-4:30 PM as their hours of operation. I-25 Speedway will have hot lap practice April, 21, 28, May 5, 12. I-25 is showing 10-4PM as their practice times. Nothing showing on the Big Country web site as of this date. Make sure you have all your paper work with you including your copies of anything mailed to US Legends for your title and license. As of this Newsletter being sent out we have seven new drivers with new INEX licenses and possibly one or two more expected. Twenty-one drivers have allready received their 2012 license as of today. You should have received your 2012 Rulebook with the license. Take time to read the Legends rules to see if there have been any changes that you were not aware of since last season. Take a look in our classified section, there might be something you need. I know there are a couple of engines for sale. Maybe you have something for sale. |
