Who would have thought that we would get the races in last night? The weatherman on all the television channels that I watched missed the rain stopping very early in the afternoon and the races scheduled for saturday evening were raced under great conditions. Twenty-five Legend cars on hand but twenty-three started both features. Feature number one had a caution early but no damage and on the restart the race went green to the checkered flag. The second feature went green white and checker. Both races were raced extremely well and other than the ninety-eight car leaving the track in the second feature with engine problems. That car was the only car to leave the track during the racing events.

A new driver at the track last night. #98 Brent Scheidemantle, Pro Division, recently moved to Colorado and calls Broomfield home. Several drivers told me that he has driven at Las Vegas and other areas. It was his first race of the 2016 season. Talk in the pits was they purchased the #61 car that had been driven by Sid Ross. Brent showed a lot of driving ability in the first feature and was running in the lead pack early in the second feature, when he had to pit with engine problems. Brent welcome to Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Legends. If some of the information is incorrect, blame it on bad rumors, not the reporter.

Next week August 13th a national qualifier at I-25 Speedway in Pueblo. This is a sanctioned race for RMLRA points. The RMLRA will then return to CNS August 20th.

In a discussion in the pits yesterday on oil coolers. It apparently was not the oil problem from last week. Thanks for your input.
